Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough

Welcome to our website!

Church music is vocal music that enriches and adds significance to the liturgy
To be effective, church music must be done well
Music is denominationally blind, is deeply ecumenical
Ongoing training is important for all who lead music in worship

These are some of the values that inspire the vision
and inform the programmes of the
Dublin and Glendalough Church Music Committee.

We are appointed by the (Anglican) dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough.

We aim to support church music in local churches by providing information and training
and by fostering a sense of community among musicians.

We seek to serve all involved in the music of worship: keyboard players, choir directors, cantors, singers and clergy.

We encourage all styles of music.

We focus primarily on churches where the musical resources and opportunities are limited.

Our work covers Dublin and the neighbouring region - everywhere up to 120 km from the city.

We invite you to explore this site and hope you find it informative and interesting.
