Visitors to the Church Music Committee Web Site	Show Menu

The Church Music Dublin web site has attracted an increasing number of visitors over the last year. The server logs provide some interesting information on the visitors which now average over one hundred per day. Many visitors find us through search engines such as Google or though links on other web sites. For example, the logs reports that visitors have come to our site through links on the Zion, Glenageary, Castleknock, Malahide and Taney parish web sites.

The Events page is constantly updated with the list of upcoming church music events. This is one of the most popular pages on the web site. All the back issues of SOUNDBOARD are also available and the variety of articles it provides means that many people find the site through search engines. The server logs also show what searches lead people to our site. In the run up to Easter searches such as “holy week services Dublin” and “Easter service Dublin” led people to the Events page. Searches for “organist fees” and “church music fees” regularly appear. Other regulars are “crosswords”, “build your own pipe organ” and “George Harrison” (although people searching for the latter may not be looking for our “George Harrison”.

The Events page, Vacancies, Guidelines on Fees and the main SOUNDBOARD page are among the most popular pages on the web site. The most popular articles from the SOUNDBOARD are Own your own pipe organ, House Organs, What's inside a pipe organ?, A 'Top Ten' Wedding Voluntaries, Sheet Music on the World Wide Web and Surviving your first year at the organ.

Most of the visitors come from Ireland, the UK and the US. The site also gets visitors from all around the world as shown in Figure 1. below which highlights the location of visitors over the last couple of months.
