Choral Services

Services at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin

Sung Services:

  • Sunday: Choral Eucharist at 11.00 a.m. & Choral Evensong at 3.30 p.m.
  • Wednesday and Thursday: Choral Evensong normally at 6.00 p.m.

Sung services may vary, especially out of Cathedral Choir terms. Please check the website for current details.

Said Services:

  • Morning Prayer at 10.00 a.m. and Evening Prayer at 5.00 p.m. are said in the Choir (when there is no choral service)
  • Monday to Saturday: 12 noon: Peace Prayers
  • Monday to Friday: 12.45 pm: The Eucharist in the Chapel of Our Lady

Irish language services

On the 4th Sunday of each month, the Irish language is used extensively at Choral Evensong at 3.30 pm.  All are welcome. A copy of the order of service in both Irish and English is available.

The cathedral has an ongoing programme of music and liturgy of interest to church musicians.

Sunday Masses at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral

  • 6.00 p.m.: (Saturday) Vigil Mass. The singing is led by cantor and organ
  • 10.00 a.m.: St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral Girls Choir
  • 11.00 a.m.: Sung Latin Mass (Novus Ordo) – with the Palestrina Choir, except in July and August
  • 12.45 p.m.:The singing is led by cantor and organ.
  •  6.30 p.m.: The singing is led by the Pro Nuova Music Group

  • 11.05 a.m.: The Holy Eucharist (said in Lady Chapel, on Wed, Thurs, Saints’ Days and other festivals)
