The Church Music Dublin Advanced Certificate in Church Music is a one-year course designed for organists working in churches of any denomination who wish to improve their technical skills through examination in repertoire, accompaniment, keyboard skills and liturgical knowledge.
A high level of musical ability and technical knowledge is expected. Students entering this examination will usually have already completed Level 3 of the Archbishop of Dublin’s Certificate in Church Music or will be able to demonstrate considerable experience as church musicians. Exams will take place twice yearly, in late November and late May. It is also now possible to enrol for examinations without being a student on the training scheme.
Applications for a September start to the course should be received by the end of July, and for January start to the course by the end October. More information, to express an interest or to get an application form, please contact the Hon. Secretary, Jacqueline Mullen, at honsec@churchmusicdublin.ie.
